Performance levels have been maximised through the use of extensive resonance mapping on the 218’s 18mm birch plywood enclosure. The sonic properties of varying cone and surround combinations were studied, in addition to differing coil topographies. 

Flux intensities and out of band abnormalities were also manipulated until the perfect combination was achieved; the end result being a loudspeaker optimised for large scale touring applications including festivals, concerts and arenas.
